Moxy, Marriott International's budget-lifestyle brand, is launch a 153-bedroom hotel in Liverpool in 2020.
The property, which is being developed by real estate investment company Niveda Realty, will be operated by Cycas Hospitality.
Located five minutes from Lime Street station, Moxy Liverpool City Centre will join Cycas Hospitality's 13-strong portfolio of hotels in the UK and mainland Europe. It will mark Cycas' second property in the city since the hotel management company launched 10 years ago with the opening of Staybridge Suites, the extended-stay brand from InterContinental Hotels Group.
Asli Kutlucan, senior partner acquisitions & development at Cycas Hospitality, said: "Cycas started its journey a decade ago in Liverpool and we are thrilled to be expanding our footprint in this vibrant destination at a time when its regeneration projects have cemented the city's position as a key destination for tourists and businesses alike. We are therefore confident that Moxy's bold brand values and playful spirit will appeal to visitors keen to work hard and play hard in the city centre."
Bhavik Jayendrakumar Shah, director at Niveda Realty, added: "Our understanding of the evolving real estate market and travel trends prompted us to develop this prime property into a modern hotel, and we believe Moxy's blend of character, comfort and community will help us meet the demands of this burgeoning city."
