Mark Lawton has been appointed head chef of the three-AA-rosette La Belle Époque restaurant at the Sofitel London Heathrow hotel.
La Belle Époque, located at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5, is the only three-AA-rosette restaurant in the Heathrow area and serves French cuisine with an Asian twist.
Lawton was previously head chef of the Leconfield restaurant in Petworth, West Sussex, and retained the venue's two AA rosettes and won it a Michelin Plate rating. However, he left the venue in February after the owners decided to relaunch the business as the less formal New Street Bar and Grill. He also previously worked as head chef of the Mandolay hotel in Guildford.
