Deliverect, an online ordering software company for the restaurant industry, has acquired ChatFood, an e-commerce platform for the F&B sector.
With the acquisition, Deliverect will offer customers a one-stop digital platform which can help improve both in-restaurant dining and online delivery by giving the restaurant industry a unified solution to enable growth and improve customer experiences, through social, dine-in QR, and direct channel ordering, as well as online food delivery.
Deliverect is used in over 6,500 locations in the UK, equating to about 15% of its global footprint. It works with brands across restaurants, chain restaurants, and dark kitchens including: Caffè Nero; Pret; Pizza Express; and Poke House.
Established in 2018, ChatFood was founded in the Gulf region with more than 3,000 food service locations using its technology. ChatFood co-founders Benjamin Mouflard and Vini Rodrigues will remain with Deliverect, leading further growth and expansion. The company’s UK customers include Ben's Cookies and Pizza Express.
Zhong Xu, chief executive and co-founder of Deliverect, said: "We are thrilled to welcome ChatFood to the Deliverect team.
"With ChatFood, we now provide a 360-degree solution inspired by the challenges our customers face, supporting them both with in-restaurant dining and online food delivery. This milestone is significant for our company, because each day we strive to simplify the lives of restaurant owners and help them thrive in the digital age."
Ben Mouflard, chief executive and co-founder of ChatFood said that the team is “so excited by this next chapter in our journey” to bring “solutions to restaurants” in the UK and beyond.
