The AA has awarded new rosettes to 17 UK restaurants
The Tudor Pass in Surrey (pictured) and Alex Dilling at Hotel Café Royal in London have been awarded four AA rosettes at the AA Rosette Awards 2025.
Both restaurants have been upgraded to the higher rating, which recognises venues offering “a truly outstanding gastronomic experience…that rank among the very best in the UK”.
The Tudor Pass at Great Fosters hotel in Egham relaunched under chef Alex Payne in 2022 as an intimate dining room with seven tables, offering four and seven-course tasting menus.
Alex Dilling at Hotel Café Royal launched in 2022 and was praised by the AA’s anonymous inspectors as “one of London’s most elegantly stylish dining rooms with cooking to match”.
Fifteen restaurants were awarded three AA rosettes, which are given to those showing “outstanding culinary excellence”, including Mark Poynton at Caistor Hall in Norwich, Auberge du Lac in Welwyn and the Unruly Pig in Woodbridge.
Simon Numphud, managing director at AA Media, said: “We’re thrilled to celebrate the latest collection of outstanding restaurants. From innovative tasting menus to a renewed focus on provenance and seasonality, these establishments showcase the very best of what the British food scene has to offer.
“Huge congratulations to the remarkable chefs and front of house teams whose dedication have earned them this well-deserved recognition.”
There were no new restaurants awarded the maximum five rosettes this year.
