Following Michelin’s move to digital publication for the 2021 edition, the Great Britain & Ireland Guide has announced that it will be making monthly additions to its listings throughout the year.
The first tranche of seven were announced this morning and included the Shed by James Sommerin in Barry, Los Moros in York, the Loch & the Tyne in Old Windsor and Eleven Ponteland in Newcastle, while London additions included Native at Browns in Mayfair, Sumi in Notting Hill and Big Jo in Hornsey.
The additions will be published on the Michelin website and app on the last Wednesday of every month. Some of these restaurants may then receive Michelin stars, Bib Gourmands or green stars at the annual ceremony.
“By revealing some of the new additions made by our inspectors throughout the year, we further strengthen the ties that bind us to food lovers”, said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin guides.
“Moreover, in a period that is still very complicated and in which the restaurant industry continues to face unprecedented challenges and uncertainties, we hope that these regular revelations and updates will provide opportunities to highlight the profession, and we invite everyone to discover and support the restaurants around them."
