Seasoned hotelier Michael Purtill is to take over as general manager at Dukes hotel in London’s Mayfair on 25 April.
He will replace Paul Skinner, who took up a new role at Gravetye Manor in West Sussex in March.
Purtill was most recently multi-property general manager at the Jumeirah Lowndes hotel, Belgravia & Grosvenor House Suites by Jumeirah Living in London’s Mayfair.
He previously worked at the Jumeirah hotel Nanjing in China, the Capital hotel in London, and spent 13 years with Four Seasons, including his first general manager position in Canary Wharf, London, before moving to the same role at the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet in 2014.
Earlier in his career, Purtill worked at Ashdown Park, East Sussex; Turnberry Resort, Ayrshire; and Chewton Glen, Hampshire.

The five-AA-red-star Dukes London has 90 rooms and is home to the Great British Restaurant (GBR) and Dukes Bar.
