Chef-restaurateur Ivan Simeoli is to open Raw, a fish and cocktail restaurant in Great Portland Street, London.
Raw will open on 17 May, subject to government guidelines, with dishes inspired by the chef’s childhood living on the coast of Napoli.
The restaurant will also feature a fishmongers, selling premium Cornish seafood.
Crudo, Simeoli’s restaurant on Brick Lane which opened last December, is rebranding under the Raw name and will reopen for outdoor dining on 12 April and indoor dining on 17 May.
Both restaurants will offer dishes such as sea bream ceviche, seared yellowfin tuna, salt and pepper Cornish cuttlefish and rock tartare sea buns.
The sea theme will carry over to the cocktail list, which includes kombu seaweed martinis and nori pisco sours.
Simeoli is the founder of Laboratorio Pizza, also on Brick Lane.
