InterContinental Hotels Group has today announced the relaunch of its 2,500th Holiday Inn hotel in Mexico as it nears the end of a three-year £650m refresh of the brand globally.
Key features of the relaunch include decluttered lobby areas, new bedding, upgraded showers, new exterior lighting and landscaping, new signage with a redesigned logo, and staff training to create friendly informal service.
Benefits are already being reaped with an improvement in the revenue per available room (revPAR) of between five and six per cent and higher levels of guest satisfaction at relaunched hotels.
In addition to the 3,300 existing hotels worldwide, there are currently 865 Holiday Inn global development pipeline.
Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express are in 100 countries and welcome more the 100m guests annually.
