The full impact of leaving the EU is to be addressed at Hospace 2016.
The conference has pulled together a panel of experts in the area who are specialists in EU matters. They include Martine Ainsworth-Wells, head of European destination engagement at the European Tour Operators Association, EU competition law specialist Jeremy Robinson from Watson, Farley & Williams, and KPMG's Mark Essex, who has written on the impact on business of Britain leaving the EU.
Taking place on 10 November at the Sofitel London Heathrow, the conference will be opened by new Hospa chief executive Jane Pendlebury, before tackling issues such as talent retention, sustainability and the effect that technology is having on traditional hospitality.
Pendlebury said: "As ever, we have some of the industry's most respected names giving their views on current challenges, innovations and developments affecting the profession. "In addition, there will be an opportunity for delegates to take centre-stage in what should prove a hotly contested debate, under the skilful chairmanship of specialist hotel consultant Melvyn Gold, on the motion: ‘This house believes corporate chain hotel brands tend to suppress value, rather than create it'. Speaking for the motion will be Bespoke Hotels chairman Robin Sheppard and opposing it will be Surinder Arora, founder and chairman, Arora Group."
The day will conclude with a gala dinner, at which Hospa's finance, revenue management and IT ‘Professionals of the Year' awards will be presented.
