The four AA red star property in Warwickshire dates back to 1916 and was previously home to a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Mallory Court Hotel and Spa in Warwickshire has completed a £1.5m refurbishment.
The four AA red star property in Leamington Spa is set in 10 acres of countryside and now features 19 newly-renovated bedrooms with designer floral wallpaper and fabrics from Romo and G P & J Baker.
The rooms also include rich velvet headboards, cream carpet from Brintons, re-upholstered furniture with chenille and herringbone patterns and light fittings from Chelsom and R S Robertson.
Marian Cartter, director of Eden Hotel Collection, led on the refurbishment with the company’s interior designer Lucy Yarwood, who has focused on embracing the hotel’s existing art deco touchpoints.
Mallory Court dates back to 1916, when it was originally built for cotton producer-turned-retiree James Thomas Holt. Between 1995 and 2017, the property received a “huge investment” from hi-tech entrepreneur Sir Peter Rigby.
Josefine Blomqvist, general manager at Mallory Court Hotel and Spa, said: “We want all of our guests to feel that calm, countryside vibe throughout their stay with us so they can create special memories together.”
It comes after the hotel’s executive head chef Keiron Stevens recently launched a menu showcasing Asian dishes.
Mallory Court also held a Michelin star for a decade while Simon Haigh was head chef at the hotel’s Dining Room, which still holds three AA rosettes.
Mark Chambers, group managing director of the Eden Hotel Collection, added: “This latest investment will ensure that Mallory Court continues to provide a top quality, luxurious experience at a time when consumers are understandably seeking the best value and experiences for their money.”
Mallory Court Hotel and Spa is part of the Eden Hotel Collection, which also includes the Arden hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Brockencote Hall hotel in Kidderminster, the Greenway Hotel and Spa in Cheltenham, and Bovey Castle in Devon.
