Asma Khan’s Darjeeling Express restaurant is to open as a pop-up in the Pembroke gastropub in London’s South Kensington from 24 August.
It comes ahead of the re-launch of the permanent restaurant, which is due to relocate to a yet-to-revealed location this winter.
Khan confirmed in March that she will be moving the 120-cover Darjeeling Express from London’s Covent Garden to a venue that allows her to “show off” her all female team.
News of the pop-up was shared on Twitter.
'Guess who's back?! Before opening the doors of our new location this winter, we are launching a pop-up in partnership with The Pembroke! A beautiful gastropub located in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea. Bookings are now available from 24th August! https://t.co/w6MEIV8nnR pic.twitter.com/8ZwRdEmmfL

In a video posted alongside the tweet, Khan said: “It’s a temporary home, ironically in a place very close to my own home. We’re opening on the 24 August, but it’s not going to be every day.
“Please go on our website – all the information is there. It’s only around 30 covers, so you really need to book. We’re looking forward to feeding you and seeing you here.”
