Dessert restaurant brand Creams Café has entered a nationwide franchise agreement with Tesco Family Dining for an undisclosed sum.
The co-branding partnership will see Creams Café launching within Tesco Cafés as shop-in-shop spaces, offering diners a 24-hour gelato selection, waffles, milkshakes and crêpes alongside a variety of breakfasts, light meals, and hot and cold beverages.
It comes after Creams opened its first Tesco standalone site in Tesco Extra Streatham in November last year.
The first Tesco Café-run Creams Café will launch at Tesco Extra Gateshead, Newcastle, on 3 August and the second will open at Tesco Extra Mayhill, Glasgow, on 4 August.
Everett Fieldgate, chief executive of Creams Café, said: “We are delighted to be chosen as Tesco Café’s first ever franchise partner – it marks a significant moment for Creams and provides a huge opportunity to expand our reach to new audiences and cement our position as the UK’s favourite dessert restaurant brand. We can’t wait to bring joy to customers of all ages with our vibrant, showstopping desserts.”
There are more than 300 Tesco Cafés across the country.
Creams Café was founded in 2008 and operates roughly 100 sites across the UK.
