Compass Group has today announced the acquisition of Tirumala Hospitality Services Private (THS).
THS, a foodservice provider that specialises in catering to the business and industry sector in Western India, was acquired from Ramkrishna Mankari and his family.
The gross assets of the business were INR 105.2m (£1.4m) as of 31 March 2010 with revenue for the 12 months to 31 March 2010 of INR 271.6m (£3.7m).
THS was founded in 1997 with a single contract to provide dining facilities for 600 students at Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Since then it has grown to an end-to-end catering and allied servicing business, though it still produces all its food products in house.
It's clients include LG Electronics, Volkswagen, General Motors and Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital.
