Bespoke Hotels has unveiled plans for a 191-bedroom sister property to Hotel Gotham in Manchester called Hotel Brooklyn.
Currently under construction and set to open in spring 2020 on Manchester's Portland Street, Hotel Brooklyn will have an event space for up to 220 people, a panoramic rooftop bar called Brooklyn Heights, and a restaurant named Runyon's. The hotel will be an homage to the New York City borough of Brooklyn between 1870-1910, around when the Brooklyn bridge was built in 1883.
Bedrooms and interiors are being designed by Squid Inc, while construction is being overseen by Marshall CDP, both of which previously worked on Hotel Gotham. Marshall CDP owns the freehold, with Bespoke taking a long-term lease on the property, as it did with Hotel Gotham.
Robin Sheppard, chairman of Bespoke Hotels, said: "Alongside its sister establishment, Hotel Gotham, Brooklyn is poised to take a starring role in Manchester's luxury hospitality portfolio."
Graham Marskell, managing director of operations for Bespoke Hotels, added: "We have enjoyed an extremely positive response from the local market since launching Hotel Gotham, and we hope to maintain this momentum when Brooklyn opens its doors in early 2020."
Bespoke Hotels' portfolio numbers more than 200 largely managed properties worldwide, and includes Manchester's Townhouse hotel.
