Join fellow HR professionals for an afternoon of inspiring talks and actionable insights at The Caterer’s inaugural People Network on 5 November.
The Caterer’s first ever the People Network, sponsored by Harri and Sona, kicks off in the afternoon of 5 November, providing an afternoon of inspirational talks and workshops for hospitality HR professionals.
Opening the event will be Trudi Parr, head of people and development at Mollie’s, sharing how she is changing the perception that hospitality is not a career young people choose. She is determined for this to change and is working with schools and colleges to encourage the next generation to choose hospitality, not fall into it.
Gleneagles’ people and culture director Emma Simpson will also share with delegates how the Scottish hotel became the Best Place to Work in Hospitality.
While UKHospitality chief executive Kate Nicholls will be joined by a panel of experts to detail the development of the Hoteliers Charter into a resource that can be applied to the wider hospitality industry.
“As well as a host of operators sharing their inspirational stories, the People Network agenda has specifically been designed to help delegates in the room make new connections and come away feeling confident and brimming with ideas to take back to their business,” said The Caterer deputy editor Caroline Baldwin.
“The Caterer is offering delegates plenty of networking time, as well as incorporating a dedicated networking session into the afternoon, while mini massages will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis to those who want a moment of R&R.”
Personal impact coach Jodi Goldman will run a confidence workshop to encourage the HR professionals in the room to be seen as a leader, authority and expert within their business – not just a “safe pair of hands” who gets stuff done.
We will also share tips on how to use TikTok for recruitment, while a facilitated networking workshop has been designed to help delegates learn from each other, while making new connections.
And don’t forget to enter our competition to win a personal coaching session!
Following the afternoon’s packed agenda, delegates are invited to stay for a relaxed evening celebrating the winners of The Caterer’s first ever People Awards. Enjoy a bite to eat and a glass or two of Ridgeview English Sparkling wine, kindly provided by CH&Co, while cheering on your HR colleagues for all their amazing hard work.
