Brazilian chef Alberto Landgraf will open his debut London restaurant Bossa in Mayfair on Wednesday (24 May).
The chef, who is behind two-Michelin-starred Oteque in Rio de Janeiro, will serve a menu of contemporary Brazilian sharing dishes including skewered duck hearts with farofa and roasted scallops with leeks, toasted buckwheat and tucupi sauce.
The 60-cover restaurant in Vere Street has an open plan kitchen and 10-seat dining counter as well as a 10-cover private dining room. Interiors have been described as ‘contemporary and comfortable’ with banquette seating, bespoke woodwork and large windows.
A drinks offering will be created by sommelier Laís Aoki, who was recently awarded the title of Brazil’s Best Sommelier by Prazeres da Mesa magazine.
Landgraf worked in London at the outset of his career in the early 2000s, in the kitchens of chefs including Gordon Ramsay and Tom Aikens.
