The four-red-AA-star Feversham Arms Hotel & Verbena Spa in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, has appointed Adam Jackson as executive chef.

Jackson joined the 33-bedroom property from Marmadukes hotel in York where he was executive chef of the Park restaurant.

Earlier roles in Jackson's career includes as head chef at the Black Swan in Oldstead and executive chef at Sutton Park, Sutton-the-Forest, both in North Yorkshire.

He said he is looking forward to establishing the Feversham Arms, which features the two-AA-rosette Weathervane restaurant, as "the go-to place" for great food in a relaxing atmosphere.

"We're creating an á la carte and tasting menu with vegetarian and pescatarian options as well as developing a wholesome, healthy-eating spa menu with fresh, local ingredients," said Jackson. "The hotel has a great reputation and I'm looking forward to taking customers, old and new on an exciting food journey."

Ingo Wiangke, who was appointed as the hotel's general manager in May 2019, added: "We are delighted with Adam's appointment and his vision of making the Feversham a food destination in its own right. We know that customers and guests are going to love his proven style of cooking, hospitality and amazing food."
