Adam Handling Chelsea to close as contract comes to an end

Adam Handling Restaurant Group's consultancy contract at the Cadogan, a Belmond hotel, will come to an end in October, with the London hotel to launch a new dining experience in the Adam Handling Chelsea restaurant space later this year.

The restaurant opened at the relaunched hotel in 2019 following a £28m refurbishment of the property. Executive chef Handling also oversaw Cadogan's by Adam Handling and the 54-bedroom hotel's private and in-room dining.

Handling said: "As I said at the end of lockdown, I really want to focus on our flagship restaurant in Covent Garden, Frog by Adam Handling and, with the launch of the Loch & the Tyne in May in Old Windsor, and the upcoming opening of Ugly Butterfly at Carbis Bay in August, we have so much to get our teeth into.

"Working with the Cadogan Estate and Belmond for the past three years has been a great experience and we wish the team every success with the new operation when it opens later this year."

Xavier Lablaude, general manager at the Cadogan, added: "We would like to thank Adam Handling for his work in establishing the restaurant and the food and beverage concept within the Cadogan hotel. Since opening in March 2019 his hard work and creative flair has helped to establish the Cadogan as a premier destination within the heart of Chelsea.

"We plan to build on the excellent work of Adam to offer visitors and locals alike a signature Belmond welcome, combining understated elegance with local charm. We wish him all the best with his new projects."

Adam Handling Chelsea will continue to operate until 14 October.
