On being the winner, Charleigh commented: “I’m delighted and very proud to be flying the flag high for OCS Amika Guest Services. My managers have been completely instrumental in shaping my career and providing me with opportunities I never thought were possible. Their leadership and vision are incredibly appreciated. I just want to say thank you to them for making my ideas feel valued and encouraging me to step outside the box and get creative.”

Jennifer Heyworth, Rapport at Bank of America

“I have a natural inclination towards helping others and enjoy the dynamic nature of customer interactions.”

Leah Tenorio, ISS Livv

“I take great satisfaction in finding unique solutions to daily challenges and providing a helping hand.”

Lily Bramwell, Portico at Evelyn Partners

“I love how rewarding it is making a client’s experience the best it can possibly be.”

A significant win for OCS Amika Guest Services

This win was a significant accomplishment, because the competition was the strongest ever this year, and it was the first time that OCS Amika Guest Services entered a receptionist for the award. We hope that this win encourages more new businesses in the Corporate Sector to encourage their reception teams to compete in next year’s competition, so we can recognise and celebrate as many talented people as possible.

This was a vintage year for the competition

2024 was a vintage year for competition, which started out in 2019. The quality of all the 10 finalists who attended the Assessment Day has never been higher, with very little to separate them all.

If you work in the Corporate Sector and would like to observe for the whole or part of the Assessment Day for 2025 you are welcome and encouraged to get in touch with the organisers here.

The purpose of the competition is to place a spotlight on the corporate guest services industry and the incredible receptionists that work in it. In addition, it aims to highlight the rewarding career pathways that exist in this sector. Which provides a better work-life balance than many other high-profile sectors of the hospitality industry like luxury hotels, airlines and restaurants.

Derek Williams, head judge and founder of the WOW! Awards, said “This year has been an outstanding one for the competition, and all the finalists demonstrated amazing standards of professionalism and skills. This award is most definitely raising standards for corporate receptionists and encouraging new people to enter the industry.”
