Wild Beer Co latest operator to join Bristol's new Wapping Wharf development

Craft beer brewer Wild Beer Co is the latest firm to join independent food and drink operators landing sites at Bristol's new Wapping Wharf development.

The harbourside community connects south Bristol with the city centre and has already allocated leases to Better Food Company, Little Victories, Mokoko and Pizzarova, whose crate is already up and running at the site.

The opening will be Wild Beer Co's second site outside its native Cheltenham. Managing director Rich Kilpatrick said the glass-fronted venue will serve both its own beers "as well as others from our best brewing friends, both at home and abroad". He added that food would also play a big part in its business, with al fresco dining on the waterfront. "Flavour and taste lead everything we produce," said Kilpatrick. "Talk of food and flavour starts and finishes each day at the brewery. We want the food at Wapping Wharf to reflect our passion and our love of creative cooking and great flavours."

The Wapping Wharf development includes 600 new homes as well alongside a growing number of independent retailers and food and beverage firms.

Stuart Hatton, director at Umberslade, the developer behind Wapping Wharf, said it was "brilliant" that independent operators were making the Wharf the launch pad for the next stage of their development. He said there would be "plenty more announcements to come" as the "vision for a community with a foodie focus starts to become a reality".
