Wyck Hill House Hotel & Spa has been sold to private equity investors Fidera Vecta and Weight Partners Capital off a guide price of £7.5m.
The new owners have “substantial plans” to redevelop the 60-bedroom, Grade II listed property, a historic country house hotel in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire, which dates to the eighteenth century.
Jim Weight, managing partner at Weight Partners Capital, said: “Wyck Hill House is a fantastic acquisition for us that offers tremendous potential to capitalise on the popular staycation market.
"We have substantial plans to redevelop the property and are looking forward to taking this property to the next phase of its role as a popular Cotswolds hotel and destination. Weight Partners Capital is excited to continue the partnership with Fidera Vecta through our second investment in Wyck Hill House together.”
Henry Jackson, head of hotel agency and partner at Knight Frank, which oversaw the sale, added: “The transactional momentum we witnessed in Q4 2021 has continued into 2022 and the sale of Wyck Hill House Hotel demonstrates this.
"Regional hotel operators are reporting positive forward bookings and it is great to see Weight Partners Capital, who are a new entrant, investing into the hotel market, further demonstrating the appeal of the sector. The new owners are looking to carry out a substantial refurbishment programme that will build on this well-known and popular hotel.”
