WSH – the parent company of hospitality brands including BaxterStorey, Benugo, Searcys, Portico and Holroyd Howe – has continued its growth in Europe through the acquisition of Meyers.
Meyers, founded by chef Claus Meyer and is headquartered in Copenhagen, is the largest independent lunch and canteen provider in Denmark. It also has a strong high street presence in central Copenhagen with restaurants and bakeries.
Claus Meyer has joined WSH Denmark as a significant shareholder and will remain “a central point of inspiration for the Meyers business”, said Noel Mahony, executive director at WSH.
Jesper Uggerhøj will continue supporting the business as non-executive director, former chief commercial officer Jesper Wacherhausen has been promoted to chief executive, and senior finance partner Victor Moquist has been promoted to chief financial officer.
Mahony added: “Meyers has ambitious growth plans, and the partnership will allow WSH to support this… We are delighted that Claus will also be extending his role to include knowledge sharing across the wider WSH business. WSH brands continue to operate autonomously, and it will be business as usual for Meyers, with no planned changes in the team structure.”
