Antony Worrall Thompson has denied Lloyds TSB's claim that he made a series of false allegations about the bank after his restaurant business went into administration.
Earlier this week, Lloyds TSB responded to Worrall Thompson's previous claims that the banks had failed to lend him the £200,000, which subsequently forced him to shut four of his six restaurants and make 60 staff redundant.
The bank, part of Lloyds Banking Group, said former Ready Steady Cook star's allegations were entirely untrue.
But Worrall Thompson has now told Caterersearch
âI would like to point out that throughout this week of publicity I have never said anything but the truth (paper trail and witnesses can prove it),â the chef said. âI never at any time stated that Lloyds asked for security on my house, I have always stated that Lloyds asked for guarantees from another of my companies.
âI have had thousands of letters of support from people who have suffered the same experiences with Lloyds as well as other banks,â he added.
