A panel of front of house experts will be sharing their expertise on the best way to build your wine list and better engage guests at The Caterer Wine Service Webinar.
The free event, held at 10am-11am on 18 March, will equip food and beverage professionals with insights into wine trends, changing service styles and how best to market your wine list. The webinar will also discuss what might impress the judges at the Taittinger UK Sommelier of the Year 2022.
Speakers at the seminar will include Medlar Chelsea head sommelier Melania Battiston, Conrad London St James general manager Emma Underwood and the 2019 Taittinger UK Sommelier of the Year winner Roman Bourger from the Vineyard at Stockcross.
They will discuss how they are interacting with guests to ensure they enjoy the best of their hospitality, explain the trends they’ve seen in drinking habits and how they are maximising sales while impressing customers.
Meanwhile, Taittinger UK director Kevin McKee and Armit Wines' Nicolas Clerc will reveal what guests are buying and provide their predictions for 2022, as well as exploring what it takes to win the Taittinger UK Sommelier of the Year.
The Caterer editor James Stagg said: “Advising guests on the right drinks at the right price can make a big difference to the bottom line. Get your suggestions and service right and you’ll have satisfied customers who are keen to take your recommendations and enjoy the best of your hospitality.
This webinar will explore what modern wine service looks like from those at the top of the profession, providing delegates with practical tips to implement in their restaurants.”
