It comes after Harrison held four sell-out smashburger pop-ups over the summer.
Sam Harrison’s smashburgers are becoming a permanent fixture at Sam’s Kitchen in London’s Hammersmith following four sell-out pop-ups.
Diners will now be able to choose between a cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger or chorizo jam cheeseburger featuring a blend of rib cap, chuck and aged beef from HG Walter every Thursday to Saturday evening.
Harrison first launched the smashburger offering in June with head chef Abbie Hendren as part of a ‘Smash & Grab’ pop-up at Sam’s Kitchen, the restaurant he opened this spring initially serving breakfast, brunch and lunch in the former site of Café Plum.
The deal includes a smashburger and a side of house fries with pickled shallots, crispy shallots, jalepeños and cheese and chorizo fries.
It comes as other operators look towards incorporating smashburgers into their menus.
Honest Burgers is due to launch a smashburger concept later this year, while Jason Atherton has replaced the now closed Pollen Street Social with Mary’s, which offers a walk-in counter serving Mary’s Cumbrian beef smashburger with deep-fried pickles, chilli mayo, streaky bacon, cheese and crispy onions.
Meanwhile, Supernova in London’s Soho, which opened to queues and rave reviews in September last year, boasts an Instagram following of 53,500.
