Vacherin enters three-year partnership with Sabrina Gidda

Specialist contract caterer Vacherin has appointed chef and author Sabrina Gidda as culinary consultant.

She joins the London-based caterer on a three-year partnership that will see her working closely with Alex Rowe, Vacherin’s head of food.

Gidda, the author of Modern South Asian Kitchen, has previously completed consultancy projects for the Hoxton, Soho House, BMW and Belu water.

At Vacherin, she will be responsible for developing new menus and training young chefs to pursue meaningful careers in contract catering.

She has expressed a particular interest in encouraging women in the industry and championing racial equity through Women in Food initiatives, the establishment of a mentorship programme and the launch of the ‘Next-Gen Talent Apprenticeship’ for young commis chefs.

She and Vacherin have also committed to providing culinary masterclasses in South Asian and Italian cuisine for staff.

Gidda said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Vacherin team as culinary consultant. Vacherin is a business I have long admired, and I feel we have a natural synergy with our approach to hospitality and people development.

“I am passionate about encouraging the next generation of talent into hospitality, seeing more women in senior roles in food and creating spaces that are inclusive to celebrate our cultures.”

Workplace caterer Vacherin was founded in 2002. Since joining CH&Co group in February 2020, the company has expanded its operations in London to over 80 clients in over 100 locations.
