Tonkotsu to open 10th site in Ealing

Ramen brand Tonkotsu is opening its 10th site in London's Ealing Broadway Dickens Yard development in late November.

The site will soft launch on 30 November, officially opening on 1 December. The group also has plans to open another site in London's Peckham early next year.

Six years after opening its first restaurant in Soho, the brand has grown to eight sites across London and a ramen bar in Birmingham's Selfridges. The newest restaurant will serve its signature homemade noodle ramens, gyozas and Japanese appetisers alongside a selection of craft beer, saké and cocktails.

The 50-cover restaurant across the ground and basement levels has been designed by STAC Architecture and will feature an open kitchen and a bartop created from used chopsticks that have been recycled from the brand's other restaurants.

New dishes specific to the site will include venison mazesoba (noodles with minced miso venison and walnuts, available until January), miso mushroom ramen and yuzu mixed greens (mangetout, green beans and black kale in a yuzu dressing).

Managing director Stephen Evans added: “With the creation of Dickens Yard and the opening of Crossrail, Ealing has further strengthened its position as a busy, cosmopolitan centre and one we are very proud to be part of.”
