Tom Kerridge's first London restaurant, at the Corinthia Hotel, will be called Kerridge's Bar & Grill and see Nick Beardshaw take the position of head chef, it was revealed today.
Beardshaw (pictured with Kerridge), previously sous chef of two-Michelin-starred the Hand & Flowers and head chef of Michelin-starred the Coach, both in Marlow, will preside over a kitchen incorporating a large rotisserie bar, where large joints of meat, fish and root vegetables will be roasted in front of diners.
Opening in September this year, the menu at Kerridge's Bar and Grill will be inspired by that at the Coach, including a daily changing dish.
The 90-cover restaurant will feature design by David Collins Studio, including a dark green and burgundy palette. Some of the walls will hold feature fridges showcasing hanging meat supplied by Kerridge's the Butcher's Tap, in Marlow.
An adjacent all-day bar, which will be divided from the dining room by a partition of antique mirror panels, will serve a diverse snack menu. Drinks will include cocktails, ales and lagers on tap as well as an extensive list of English wines and Champagnes.
The space will also include an 18-cover private dining room.
Kerridge said: "We are incredibly excited about opening Kerridge's Bar & Grill at Corinthia Hotel London. Work has begun on the design and the space, and Nick and I, along with the whole team, are enjoying creating a menu that will befit such a stunning room."
Thomas Kochs, managing director of the Corinthia (pictured, above, with Kerridge), added: "Every day I work with Tom Kerridge and his team, and Simon Rawlings from David Collins Studio, the anticipation builds of what I know will be a fantastic opening and a wonderful new addition to London's restaurant scene. I look forward to September when we can finally welcome guests to this new dining experience."
The restaurant has been operated by the Corinthia since the hotel parted company with Italian chef Massimo Riccioli in 2012.
