Canadian coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons is to open its first drive-through restaurant in Sheffield this summer, creating more than 50 jobs.
The company has taken a site at the Crystal Peaks Village Retail Park, with dine-in seating for 118 guests and delivery options for the local area.
The opening forms part of Tim Horton’s plan to open in every major UK town and city by 2022, a move it expects will create more than 2,000 jobs.
It is recruiting for a variety of full and part-time roles for the Sheffield restaurant, with applications open on its website.
Tim Hortons was founded in 1964 and now runs over 4,700 restaurants in Canada, the US and worldwide. It is owned by fast food giant Restaurant Brands International, which is also behind Burger King and the Popeyes fried chicken chain. The group launched its first UK site in Glasgow in 2017 and now runs 27 restaurants nationwide.
