A total of 13 contract caterers have won the right to bid for school catering contracts with Hampshire County Council, as part of a £16m framework deal.
The caterers will be invited to swot up and bid via mini competitions for catering services to free schools, local authority maintained schools, pre-schools, post 16 colleges, higher education institutions, independent schools and children's centres.
The contracts will be for an initial period of four years, with the option to extend to a maximum of seven years.
The annual turnover for the contracts is likely to range from £25,000 to £350,000.

The contracts will be awarded on price.
