The Alchemist secures three new UK sites

A total of £4.5m is to be invested in three new Alchemist sites in Bristol, Cardiff and Nottingham.

The acquisitions follow a period of rapid growth. Last month, the Alchemist opened its 10th venue in Chester.

Operating in the former Hard Rock Café on King Street the Nottingham bar will open in December 2017 following a £1.6m investment, extending over two floors and 6,500 sq ft.

Opening in March 2018 and situated in a former NatWest Bank on St Mary Street, Cardiff is the first Welsh venue for the Alchemist, with a total investment of £1.6m across the 5,900 sq ft site.

The Alchemist Bristol will be located on Queen's Road and will undergo a £1.3m refurbishment. Spanning over two floors, the 5,200 sq ft site will open in April 2018.

Established in 2009, the bar and casual dining operator currently has 10 sites across UK city centres including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle and Chester. The Alchemist is backed by Palatine Private Equity, who supported a buy out from Living Ventures in 2015.
