Thai Leisure Group is to invest £1m in refurbishing some of its Thaikhun and Chaophraya restaurant sites this year ahead of further expansion.
The interior and exterior of at least five sites will be renovated over the next few months and all six Chaophraya restaurants will be refurbished over the next three years.
This will see front of house areas and entrances redesigned and modernised, alongside the bar and dining areas of several restaurants.
Thai Leisure Group was formed in 2005 and has 17 restaurants across the Chaophraya, Thaikhun, Thaikhun Street and ChaoBaby brands.
The company said the revamp was to “support its ambitious growth plans” and is aiming to launch further Chaophraya sites over the next five years.
Ian Leigh, managing director at Thai Leisure Group, said: “This significant investment will elevate the dining experience even further for guests, allowing customers to enjoy a greater range of Thai cuisine in a comfortable and aesthetic environment.
Thai Leisure Group underwent a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) in 2019 to address several under-performing sites and again in 2020 when it had 20 restaurants.
