Test and measuring solutions supplier Testo is celebrating its 60th anniversary year with a range of celebratory events.
Celebrations included a gala dinner at the Freiburg Exhibition Centre in south-west Germany for 1,300 employees and international guests and the launch of a worldwide charity challenge.
Testo UK challenged their employees, friends, family, customers and business partners to run, cycle or walk to help achieve a target of 25,000 km and associated sponsorship money for Treloar School and College in Hampshire for young people with physical disabilities.
Last month, Testo's managing director, Daniel Auer, donated £10,000 to Treloar's director of fundraising, Jon Colville. The money will be used to send Treloar's Year 9 and 10 school groups on a week-long residential adventure study course, called ‘Pushing the Boundaries', specifically designed for young people with physical disabilities to experience adventure sports for the very first time, in a safe and supportive environment.
Colville said: "We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Testo for taking part in the challenge and helped to raise a magnificent £10,000 for the disabled students who live and study at Treloar's. This money will quite literally help transform lives."
