Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events is relaunching two of its dining cruise boats with interiors by Tom Dixon.
Under its Bateaux London subsidiary, the foodservice company is relaunching the Symphony as the Glass Room next month; with River Room, previously Harmony, due to complete Easter 2019.
Sailing from Embankment Pier, the two will cater for individual diners, corporate dining, celebrations and private charter, with Glass Room targeting tourists and River Room designed to appeal to locals.
Glass Room will allow guests to make the most of the views, accommodating 235 as a seated dining experience and 400 guests for a reception, as well as an exterior viewing platform for groups of up to 60 and a private dining room seating 10.
The Glass Room's kitchen team will be led by head chef Jose Cacciavillani and offer modern British lunch and dinner menus, as well as afternoon tea and Sunday lunch jazz voyages.
The River Room, along with a new bar and café launching at the Moor Room (formerly the pier), both in Spring 2019, will be aimed at a London audience offering a programme of masterclasses, pop-ups and summer cinema screenings planned for the summer.
Catrin White, marketing director at Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, said: "Bateaux spearheaded dining on the Thames over 25 years ago and we are so excited to be yet again leading the way with a new, elevated offering. Our aim is to bring a truly unique food-led experience to the Thames, not just a destination restaurant, but a complete onboard package complemented by outstanding design, impeccable service and a quality food offering not to mention striking views.''
