Social Pantry has secured its first exclusive venue contract with London landmark Tower Bridge.
From today (1 March) the sustainable caterer will deliver events across the venue’s three spaces.
The spaces include the Victorian engine rooms, which house the original machinery used to lift the bridge, the glass-floored walkways and the North Tower lounge.
Social Pantry founder and chief executive Alex Head said: "We are thrilled to become the exclusive caterer for Tower Bridge Event Spaces. Our team is excited to bring our passion for exceptional food and service to such an iconic London venue.
“We look forward to collaborating with Tower Bridge to create unforgettable experiences for guests."
Chris Earlie, director of Tower Bridge, added: “Social Pantry stood out to us as being far more than just a catering company.
“Their commitment and passion in being a force for good while maintaining the highest levels of quality was exactly what we were looking for in a partner.
“Social Pantry’s values chime with our own commitment at Tower Bridge that puts sustainability at the heart of everything we do. We can’t wait to welcome guests into our unrivalled events spaces within London’s defining landmark alongside the Social Pantry team.”
The Social Pantry team will deliver corporate and private events including weddings at the venue.
Social Pantry was founded by Head in 2011 with the aim of creating “high impact events with minimal environmental impact”.
As well as being listed with 70 venues, including the National Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts and Blenheim Palace, Social Pantry delivers workplace catering.
Head has also committed to providing opportunities to prison leavers since the inception of the business and ex-offenders now make up around 10% of Social Pantry’s workforce.
