Six hoteliers announced as Master Innholders

The Master Innholders, one of the highest honours of hotel management, has announced six hoteliers as new members.

The new members have been confirmed as:

  • Andrew Brown, general manager at Fairmont Windsor Park
  • Ian Edwards, chief executive of the Celtic Collection
  • Andy Roger, resort director at Cameron House
  • Rohaise Rose-Bristow, co-owner of the Torridon
  • Tom Waldron-Lynch, general manager at De Vere Orchard Hotel and East Midlands Conference Centre
  • Knut Wylde, general manager at the Berkeley

To be considered for membership, applicants take part in a rigorous application process, including submitting a 1,500-word essay on their values and providing evidence of their involvement in the industry. Due to restrictions posed by Covid-19, this year’s interview process with current members was held virtually.

Danny Pecorelli

Chairman of the Master Innholders and managing director of Exclusive Collection, Danny Pecorelli said: “After an incredibly challenging start to the year, I’m delighted to see our membership grow with these six dedicated professionals.

“Now more than ever, we need to collaborate and develop together as an industry and I’m excited to work alongside these ambitious hoteliers and support our hospitality peers through our virtual events, educational programmes and mentoring opportunities.”

The newly appointed members will now take part in the organisation’s effort to inspire and encourage the next generation of hotel professionals through the Master Innholders educational opportunities and mentoring scheme.

The Master Innholders is a champion of inspiring the next generation of hoteliers and is a standard bearer for the industry. Each year it invites applications from outstanding hoteliers to join its organisation. There are currently more than 150 Master Innholders, all of whom are, or have been, prominent hoteliers, dedicated and committed to promoting best practice in the industry.
