Latest openings: Six by Nico Canary Wharf, Pesca Hove, Katsu Glasgow and more

A look at the latest restaurants, hotels, pubs and bars to open their doors.

Six by Nico Canary Wharf

Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone has opened his largest restaurant yet, and second in London, in Canary Wharf.

The Six by Nico group has transformed a former office block on Chancellor Passage into a 40-cover cocktail bar and 100-cover restaurant with an open kitchen.

Like all Six by Nico sites, the restaurant offers a £37 six-course tasting menu that changes every six weeks. The opening menu, named ‘the Chippie’, is based around the theme of a British chip shop, with dishes including Simeone’s take on scampi, steak pie, a fish supper and a deep-fried Mars Bar. An optional wine pairing is available at £33.

This is the eighth overall location for Six by Nico, following sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool, Manchester and London. Simeone plans to open further tasting menu restaurants, with a third site set to launch in his hometown of Glasgow in September.

Opened 9 August
