Simon Rogan set to take over L'Autre Pied site for Roganic

Chef and restaurateur Simon Rogan is to take over the site of L'Autre Pied in London's Marylebone in order to make it the new home of Roganic.

The news comes after David Moore sold the site to the owner of L'Enclume, who recently announced that he was returning to London with Aulis, following his departure from Fera at Claridge's earlier this year.

Rogan had previously indicated that Roganic, which ran as a pop-up between 2011 and 2013 on Blandford Street, the same site on which L'Autre Pied sites, would re-open in Marylebone this autumn. Oliver Marlow will be head chef at the site, while James Foster will be general manager.

The deal was brokered by Restaurant Property. Rent on the site, which has a ground floor of 1,096 sq ft, and a basement of 1,659 sq ft, is £105,000 per annum.

The lease is an assignment of a 20-year lease running until 2027.

Meanwhile Moore is looking at creating a restaurant space in the basement next door to Pied à Terre. He will also consult on Noizé, the French restaurant Mathieu Germond, former co-owner and restaurant manager of Pied á Terre, is opening at the former Dabbous site in London Fitzrovia.
