The boutique luxury group will relaunch the Grade II-listed Deans Place hotel in Alfriston, East Sussex.
The growing Signet Collection is set to open its fourth hotel, the Alfriston, in March 2025.
The boutique luxury group announced in January it had bought the Grade II-listed Deans Place hotel in Alfriston, East Sussex, which dates back to the 14th century.
It will reopen next year with 38 redesigned bedrooms and suites and a function room for up to 120 guests, allowing it to host weddings and events.
The Alfriston will be the fourth property in the growing Signet Collection, which is overseen by Hector Ross, former director at the Bel & the Dragon gastropub group.
Its restaurants will include the 70-cover 1554 Brasserie, which will offer views over the front lawn towards the sea and make use of revamped herb and vegetable plots across the hotel gardens.
A hotel bar will offer more casual dining for 50 indoor guests with space for 60 people to sit outdoors, while an Orangery is set to serve breakfast and afternoon tea with views over the rear gardens.
Meanwhile, the on-site Signet spa will include a steam room, sauna, outdoor swimming pool and three treatment rooms.
Ross said: “Our aim is to create a welcoming environment where guests can relax and enjoy the beauty of the South Downs. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this stunning new destination.”
Signet Collection’s hotels include the Mitre in Hampton Court, London (launched in September 2020), the Retreat at Elcot Park near Newbury (launched in June 2022) and the Barnsdale in Rutland (launched in May 2023).
