Searcys is to open a champagne bar in London’s Battersea Power Station development on 18 October.
The 76-cover venue will feature blue velvet seating, a 15-cover marble-topped bar, a private booth and floor-to-ceiling windows. It will also display specially commissioned art from Kristjana Williams.
The menu will offer Searcy’s selection of Champagne and English sparkling wine, which will be available to order via the brass ‘Press for Champagne’ buzzers which were first launched at the Searcys Champagne Bar at St Pancras International, which opened over 14 years ago.
Guests will be able to pair wines with dishes such as shellfish platters, cured meats and salads.
Paul Jackson, managing director of Searcys, said: “We are excited to be expanding south of the river to launch within the fantastic retail and gastronomic hub at Battersea Power Station. We are pleased to be taking the next step with a permanent site in the Turbine Hall.
"As connoisseurs of champagne since 1847, we want to create an experience which showcases our hand-picked selection for our guests to enjoy.”
Searcys, the UK's oldest British caterer, was founded by John Searcy in 1847 and oversees the catering at venues across the UK, including Blenheim Palace and St Pancras International.
