Searcys has secured the contract to provide hospitality at The Royal Institution in London's Mayfair.
The institution is an events venue and charity dedicated to showcasing scientific research.
Searcys will run all events catering as well as the on-site cafés, offering tailored menus and hospitality packages that use sustainable produce and ingredients. It plans to introduce interactive food stations, vegan meals and drink experiences.
Royal Institution chief operating officer, Michael de Crespigny, said: “We are delighted to have appointed Searcys as the Royal Institution’s catering partner, building on our already outstanding offer to clients who hire the Royal Institution for their business conference or special occasion.”
The Royal Institution is a Grade I listed building with a Georgian interiors. It incorporates an underground museum of scientific invention, a library room and 400-seat theatre. It has hosted scientific talks from the likes of HG Wells, Sir David Attenborough and British astronaut Helen Sharman.
Searcys was founded in 1847. It runs catering across multiple high-profile venues including St Paul’s Cathedral and Blenheim Palace as well as operating its own bars and restaurants.
