Sarah Hills has been promoted to managing director of Bill's from executive operations director.
Hills joined Bill's in autumn 2018 having spent 17 years at Wagamama, two of which as managing director 2016-18. The role is a new one for the company and will see Hills report to executive chairman David Campbell. Former chief executive Duncan Garrood, who left the company in December, has since joined Ten Entertainment Group and a replacement has not been appointed.
The restaurant group reported continued growth in the first half of 2019 with life-for-like for the whole estate up by 8%. Lesley McIlroy has also been promoted from head of marketing to marketing director.
Campbell said: "Both Sarah and Lesley have done fantastic jobs helping drive the growth of the business, and building great teams who are really transforming things, and I'd like to congratulate them on their well-deserved new positions."
