Rosslea Hall hotel has been sold to Chinese investor Victoria Xu Hotels off a guide price of £2m.
The 30-bedroom, three-AA-star property in Rhu, Argyll is the first UK acquisition for the business, headed by managing director Tom Xu.
It was one of the final three hotels in the BDL Select portfolio, owned by BDL Select Operations and operated by RBH (previously Redefine|BDL Hotels), which have been put up for sale.
Xu said: "We are delighted to acquire Rosslea Hall as our first hotel asset in the UK. We will continue the business as usual and work alongside the team in delivering the next, and better, chapter of the Rosslea Hall hotel. We aim to add to our portfolio in the near future."
The hotel has two function/conference rooms and on-site car parking for 80 vehicles, and is located on the east shore of Gare Loch.
Dundee-based 7 Hospitality Management (UK) has been newly appointed to manage the hotel, to tactically reposition the property and add value to the asset.
Richard Ellison, director, 7 Hospitality Management, added: "We have known Rosslea for many years and look forward to supporting Tom and his team in driving forward this great hotel, further positioning the asset as an outstanding country house hotel and splendid wedding venue."
The remaining properties in the portfolio include the 148-bedroom Langstone hotel on Hayling Island, near Portsmouth, which is on sale for £14.5m; and the 113-bedroom Swan hotel in Bedford for £11.75m, both of which are being marketed by JLL.
