Roberto Costa to open Teatro della Carne on Shaftesbury Avenue

Restaurateur Roberto Costa will be opening new concept Teatro della Carne on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue in mid-June.

Further details on the concept are yet to be revealed, but “theatre and theatrics” are described as “at the core” of the new restaurant.

Costa was born and raised in Genoa, and after opening and running restaurants in Italy, he moved to London where he opened Macellaio RC in South Kensington in 2021. The brand now has four sites, in Fitzrovia, Battersea, Exmouth Market and Union Street. He also runs CasaCosta in Fulham Broadway.
