Chef Robert Ortiz is to open his first solo restaurant, Chakana, in Birmingham this summer.
The Peruvian chef will continue in his role as culinary director of the Lima Group, alongside the new project.
Ortiz had previously worked at the Costa Verde restaurant in Peru's capital city, before taking positions at the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone and the Four Seasons Canary Wharf.
2G Design & Build, who will design the site in Moseley, said it would have a "relaxed, accessible feel whilst showcasing the delights of Peruvian food".
The name Chakana is taken from an ancient Peruvian symbol that represents individuals living in harmony with each other and their surroundings.
The Peruvian restaurant will also specialize in Pisco, alongside an offering of wines and beers.
