Robert Nadler steps down as CEO of Nadler Hotels

Robert Nadler has left his position as chief executive of the hotel group he founded 12 years ago, following a disagreement with shareholders over the future development of the company.

Nadler Hotels was originally launched as the Base2Stay brand, with one hotel in Kensington, London, in 2006. The company, which was rebranded as Nadler Hotels in 2013, has since grown to four properties: three in London (Kensington, Soho and Victoria) and one in Liverpool.

Two further openings are planned for the group in 2019, in Covent Garden and Manchester.

Nadler told The Caterer: "After many successful years creating and building the Nadler brand, I have been looking at the next stage of development for the business. As it is has become clear that my vision for the future differs from that of the other shareholders, we have agreed that this was the right moment for me to hand over to someone more in keeping with their future business plans, leaving me free to pursue my own ambitions."

Yvonne Jackson, previously operations director of Nadler Hotels for the past six years, has been appointed as interim chief executive. She moves into the role with more than 20 years' experience in the hospitality industry, having earlier worked for Hilton, QHotels and De Vere, as well as running her own hotel, booking agency and consultancy business.

Robert Peto, chairman of Nadler Hotels, said: "Robert's vision, drive and commitment to building the foundation of our highly successful group of hotels cannot be understated. He leaves us in a great position from which to accelerate our growth, and with our very best wishes for his future, both within and outside the commercial world."

Nadler Hotels was launched with the aim of offering "affordable luxury", having stripped out the facilities which the company said are often underused in city-centre hotels, such as a restaurant, bar, gym or spa. Each bedroom offers a mini-kitchen.
