Reuben brothers ranked second in 2021 Sunday Times Rich List

David and Simon Reuben have been ranked second in The Sunday Times' 2021 Rich List with an estimated fortune of more than £21b.

The billionaire brothers’ property and internet empire includes the former Curtain hotel in London’s Shoreditch, of which they acquired the freehold in 2018 and which is set to reopen as the Mondrian Shoreditch this summer (pictured).

Their portfolio of hotels across England also includes the Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club and the 154-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn at Doncaster Racecourse. Their wealth has increased by £5.47b since last year’s Rich List.

The brothers have also commenced construction on the Piccadilly Estate to create a five-star, 102-key Mayfair hotel overlooking Green Park with a 2,360 sq ft grand ballroom, restaurant, bars, a spa, pool and gym, and seven residential apartments.
