Rob Creaser has been appointed executive head chef of the Milestone Hotel & Residences, part of Red Carnation Hotels.
In his new role, Creaser will lead a team of 14 while overseeing all dining options at the five-red-AA-star, 62-bedroom property in London's Kensington, including Cheneston's restaurant, afternoon tea and event venue the Oratory.
Creaser joins with more than 25 years' kitchen experience. He was most recently executive sous chef at the Beaumont hotel in Mayfair and prior to that he held positions at a number of five-star properties in South Africa, including the Michelangelo in Johannesburg, the Commodore hotel in Cape Town and the Londolozi private game reserve in Mpumalanga.
Commenting on his new appointment, Creaser said: "It's an honour to join the fantastic team at the Milestone, and I am looking forward to being part of a gourmet tradition that comes right from the top.
"I shall be overseeing an innovative menu of fine British cuisine, including some of the legendary dishes perfected by Mrs Bea Tollman, the Red Carnation Hotels' president and founder, and I am looking forward to expanding my repertoire to include the timeless tradition of British afternoon tea."
