Pizzeria Radio Alice has announced the opening of its second site in Clapham on 67 Venn Street this June.
Owners Matteo and Salvatore Aloe launched their first restaurant, Berbère Bologna in Italy, in 2010. It now operates five sites across Italy in Florence, Turin, Milan, Castel Maggiore and Bologna.
The brothers opened the first site in Hoxton last year with Emma King, co-founder of Gail's Bakery.
The menu at the 80-cover, 2,000sq ft Clapham restaurant will include pizzas such as: organic fiordilatte, tomato and basil; speck, gorgonzola, fiordilatte, walnuts and honey; prosciutto di Parma, organic burrata, and orange infused oil; a selection of piccoli, including: amalfi coast anchovies and slow food approved Mortadella from Bologna.
Desserts will include affogato with a splash of bourbon; and lemon and mint sorbet.
Salvatore said: "The idea of community lies at the heart of Radio Alice and we immediately fell in love with the close-knit feel of the Clapham neighbourhood"
Matteo added: "Our pizzas are as much about the organic sourdough base as they are about seasonal toppings. Quality Italian produce is crucial and we only use the very best ingredients that we'd want to serve to our friends, family and now the Clapham community."
Radio Alice is named after the 1970s Italian pirate radio station, and the restaurant's atmosphere will reflect that with music of the era and authentic furniture from Bologna including a mix of leather banquettes and reclaimed school-chairs.
The Clapham site was secured by Shelley Sandzer - an agency specialising in the restaurant and leisure property sector.
Casey Phillips, partner at Shelley Sandzer, said: "Clapham is a great location for Radio Alice's new home, and in particular Venn Street, which already benefits from al fresco dining and is soon to be pedestrianised. The street is a well-established restaurant destination and Radio Alice will be in good company alongside Honest, Venn Street Records and the Picture House Cinema. The site was historically a staple favourite with local residents, and we are certain Radio Alice will continue this legacy."
Shelley Sandzer is known for launching unique concepts to the market, such as Sushisamba, Patty & Bun, Duck & Waffle, Honey & Smoke and Xtend Barre.
The announcement follows recent news that Shelley Sandzer acted on a debut site for Atul Kochhar's NRI at the Mailbox, Birmingham.
Other deals in the capital this year include sites for Danish bakery chain, Ole & Steen, and independent wine bar and retailers, Vagabond, at Nova, Victoria.
