Greg Hegarty, regional general manager of PPHE Hotel Group has been promoted to the newly created position of executive vice-president UK and chief commercial officer.
His new position is one of three senior appointments to be announced today by the operator of the Park Plaza brand.
In his new role, Hegarty (pictured) will have overall responsibility for delivery of the company's commercial strategy, as well as overseeing the UK operations, comprising 10 hotels. He has been regional general manager of the PPHE since 2010, having previously worked for BDL Hotels as group operations manager. In 2004 he won an Acorn Award when he was working for Thistle Hotels.
PPHE has also announced the appointment of Daniel Kos as chief financial officer. He will take over the role on 1 January 2018 following the departure of Chen Morasvsky at the end of the year. Morasvsky also holds the position of deputy chief executive.
Kos joined PPHE in 2011 as group head of accounting and was appointed vice-president corporate finance in 2015. Prior to joining the company, he worked for accountancy firm Mazars.
In another newly created role, Robert Henke has been appointed as executive vice-president of corporate affairs and customer experience. Henke joined PPHE in 2001, having previously worked for Hilton and Golden Tulip. Since 2008 he has been the company's vice-president marketing and branding.
